1. Service Description
GlowBoost is a mobile application that provides aesthetic face analysis and personalized style suggestions. The app uses a picture that you take or select to generate visual recommendations.
GlowBoost does not perform facial recognition, identity verification, or comparison of faces against databases. The goal is purely aesthetic and related to personal wellness, not biometric identification.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using GlowBoost, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the app and stop using the Service.
3. License to Use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to use GlowBoost for strictly personal and non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content without written authorization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code.
- Use GlowBoost to identify real individuals or verify identities.
- Use the Service for illegal, discriminatory, abusive, or harmful purposes.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use your own image or have permission from the person depicted in the photo.
- Not upload images that infringe third-party rights or contain illegal content.
- Not interfere with the functioning of the app or its servers.
5. Image Processing and OpenAI Usage
When you choose to use the face scan feature, the app:
- Captures the photo from the device camera or gallery.
- Compresses the image on the device to reduce size and improve transmission.
- Sends the compressed image to the OpenAI API to obtain analysis and suggestions.
- Receives the API response and displays the information back in the app.
The use of the OpenAI API is subject to its public data policies. According to OpenAI’s current documentation for the API:
“Data submitted through the API is not used to train models. API data is retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and then deleted.” — OpenAI API Data Usage Policy.
GlowBoost does not use the image or generated data for facial recognition or identification of individuals, and complies with OpenAI’s prohibition on using its services for facial recognition.
6. Content and No Professional Advice
The recommendations provided by GlowBoost are informational and aesthetic in nature only. They do not constitute medical, dermatological, psychological, or any other professional advice.
You should consult qualified professionals for decisions related to your physical or mental health. GlowBoost is not responsible for decisions you make based on the results provided by the app.
7. Intellectual Property
GlowBoost, its logo, design, interface, texts, graphics, algorithms, and all elements of the Service are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You do not acquire any ownership rights over the app or its content; only a limited license to use as described in these Terms.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate or interact with tools and providers from third parties, such as the OpenAI API. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their terms, policies, or practices.
We recommend you review the privacy policies and terms of OpenAI and any other provider used in connection with the Service if you want more details about their data handling practices.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GlowBoost will not be liable for:
- Economic losses, data loss, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the app.
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or subjective results of the aesthetic analysis.
- Unauthorized access resulting from your own negligence (for example, sharing your device or credentials).
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or complete absence of errors.
10. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We may update the app, add or remove functionalities, and modify these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or business changes.
When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may display a notice within the app. Continued use of GlowBoost after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to GlowBoost if you breach these Terms, if there is suspicion of fraudulent use, or if required by law.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Termination does not limit our rights with respect to actions prior to termination.
12. Governing Law
The interpretation and enforcement of these Terms may be governed by the laws of the country or region where you reside or where the app is officially distributed. In case of a dispute, the parties will first attempt an amicable resolution before resorting to legal proceedings.
